    Joseph Griffin

    Joseph Griffin is a retired New Jersey State Police Sergeant First Class.  He bring 28 years of distinguished law enforccement experience and expertise to J.A. Williams, LLC.  As a Senior Associate, Mr. Griffin will be concentrating on matters involving Police Policy, Procedure and Training, nationwide.

    Mr. Griffin is a graduate of the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Academy at Quantico, Virginia.  His distinguished expertise includes command level responsibilities for the NJSP Internal Affairs Investigations Unit. Mr. Griffin is also a graduate of Rutger’s University with a Master’s Degreee in Public Administration.

    As a NJSP Detective Sergeant First Class, Mr. Griffin had command level responsibility for all daily operations of the Victim Services Unit which investigated all Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault cases.

  • George R. Saunders

    George R. Saunders

    George R. Saunders is a retired Senior Investigator, Camden County (NJ) Prosecutor’s Office. He brings thirty five (35) years of Law Enforcement and Police Training to J. A. Williams LLC.

    Mr. Saunders has national experience and expertise in Hostage Investigations Police and Procedures, and has shared this expertise with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as well as police agencies nationwide.

    Mr. Saunders has extensive expertise in the areas of Physical and Sexual Child Abuse Investigations. He received advanced training in child abuse cases at. St. Joseph College, CT, and at the National Burn Foundation, as well as at the National Forensic Mental Health Association.

    He is on staff at the Camden County Police Academy and serves as a State Certified Police and Security Officer Senior Instructor.

  • Brent Tharpe

    Brent Tharpe is a retired Investigator from the Dyersburg, Tennessee Police Department. He brings extensive Law Enforcement and Police Training experience and expertise to J.A. Williams Associates LLC in the specialties of Police Policy, Procedure, and Training. His national experience and expertise include Wrongful Death and Exploitation of Children. Calling upon this specialty, Mr. Thorpe has provided training to municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

    From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Tharpe was the Training Officer for the West Tennessee Criminal Investigator Association, with oversight responsibility for training Police Officers, Investigators, Emergency Medical Technicians, Nurses, and Doctors in matters relative to Wrongful Death and Exploitation of Children.

    Mr. Thorpe was named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2006. The following year, 2007, he was elected President of the West Tennessee Criminal Investigator Association by peer members of the Association

    Mr. Tharpe, a local and college football standout lineman, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He has served as an Adjunct Professor for Criminal Justice Courses at the Dyersburg State Community College.

    Brent Tharpe is currently a Masters Degree candidate for law and justice studies at the University of Tennessee.
